In beta now! Migrate a 1Password vault to Bitwarden (or Vaultwarden), and bring your attachments and your Archive across.
Tech Note
Full migration of all items REQUIRES a desktop Mac or other computer with Python and 1Password desktop app installed, and technical skill with the Terminal / command line. If you are not comfortable using Terminal, then this app is NOT FOR YOU.
If you only need your logins and passkeys, you probably don’t need this app. Bitwarden’s iPhone app can take those directly from 1Password, passkeys included. It’s quick and it works. Do that instead.
Three things that path leaves behind:
- File attachments: Your 1Password desktop export does contain them, but Bitwarden’s import doesn’t take them. This app uploads the correct attachment to each item, after the initial import.
- Your Archive: Archived items arrive as ordinary items, mixed in with everything else. That means old logins may look like they’re current — a confusing situation.
- Any proof it worked: This app matches every imported item to its 1Password original, one to one, and tells you what is missing before you delete anything.
This app walks you through a checklist of exporting from both the 1Password desktop and iOS app, combining the exports into one master bundle, and then gives you scripts which do the work of uploading all of the attachments, and confirming that everything migrated correctly.
